Caution:
Alright,
Rules of the Game:
A) People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blogs & replace any question that they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves.
B) Tag 8 people to do this quiz & those who are tagged cannot refuse. These people must state who they were tagged by & cannot tag the person whom they were tagged by. Continue this game by sending it to other people.
C) ENJOY?
1. If your lover betrayed you, what will your reaction be?
Well, I'm pretty non-confrontational, so probably not much. I would probably make sure I had all the facts straight (to avoid any misunderstandings), and if it was true just get over it and move on. I'm like that. But if it was a really serious offense(in my opinion, anyway), I would probably throw a few verbal barbs at hm first. I'm not a pushover, after all.
2. What do you do before bedtime?
Wash my face, put on my pajamas, turn on my nightlight (yes I sleep with one...I have an irrational (I admit) fear of the dark), turn off my computer monitor, and collapse into my bed.
3. What will your dream wedding be like?
Outdoors, late morning, spring. Preferably May Day. Yes, I am a tree hugger, as well as an utterly hopeless romantic.
4. What fictional world would you like to live in most?
You know, I have no idea. Naruto, probably. Being able to walk up walls would be fun. ^w^
5. Are you an introvert or extrovert?
Half-and-half. I'm extroverted when I'm around other people, but introverted when I'm alone. It wouldn't really make much sense the other way around, now would it?
6. Do you tell the truth in your livejournal?
Duh. What would be the point of lying on it?
7. Do you trust easily?
Oops. Forgot to answer this one the first time. Er, sort of. Depends on who I'm talking to, I guess. But normally yes.
8. If the person you secretly like is already attached, what would you do?
Get over it and move on. Hey, I said I was a romantic, but that doesn't necessarily make me the type to get lovesick.
9. Is there anything that makes you unhappy these days?
To quote my dear friend lycaenion, who I swear me and her *must* share half a brain or something, because we thinkl way too much alike to be simple coincedence (I probably butchered that word):
*deep breath* Ooookay... in shortest time possible. Humanity's greed and short-sightedness, disregard for the environment, apathy, materialism, McMansions, intolerance, racism, my annoying, cell-phone-obsessed generation, President Bush, most other things going on in the world right now...
Just add Dick Cheney, hypocrisy (another butchered word), and my complete inability to spell.
11. Is being tagged fun?
I guess. Hmm, I'm really not all that chatty today...
12. How do you see yourself?
Er, kinda smart I guess...a pacifist, non-confrontational (although I will place a few well-timed verbal barbs to those who truly and honestly deserve them)... outspoken, "unique" (coughunderstatementcough), weird (getting closer...)...
13. Who are currently the most important people to you?
Family & Friends, no doubt about it.
14. What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?
Er, I know her in real life, so there's not much guessing involved... but, as stated above, I swear that we must share half a brain or something, because other than the fact that she's a bit less non-confrontational than I am and doesn't like anime (other than Pokemon and Death Note), we are very similar. Except that she can talk way faster than I can talk (or understand sometimes...).
15. Would you rather be single & rich or married but poor?
Married and poor. Once again, hopeless romantic, but I'm also not all that materialistic and thus probably wouldn't care all that much about the poor thing unless it was living-on-the-streets-and-don't-have-any
16. How many children do you want to have, if any?
No clue. More than one, though, I'm pretty sure.
17. Do you wear the lilac on the Glorious 25th?
I have not (yet) read the Discworld novels by Terry Pratchet, and only know this is from them because of lycaenion's meme post. So no, I did not. I really need to read those books, as they seem veeeewy intawesting.
18. Do you like taking photos, or having photos taken of you?
I like photos, taking them or being in them. Especially taking pictures of friends who don't necessarily like having their picture taken (lycaenion).
19. What type of friends do you like?
Open-minded people who share my opinions on some things and don't share them on others (having people agree with me all the time would be boring), and don't have a problem with me being, well, me. And they usually end up being just as zany and random as I am 90% of the time.
20. What type of friends do you dislike?
Backstabbers and "fair-weather friends." Trust me, I saw my fair share of the them in elementary school, and I always stopped being friends with them after they showed their true colors. I'm all for second chances, but when we get to fourth and fifth chances I draw the metaphorical line.
Alright! Nona, your turn!

- Current Mood:
tired - What's Blasting on my Stereo:My brother playing video games in the next room. Joy. *sarcasm*
I can only blame my laziness. Much has changed since my last update.
First of all, the boyfriend I mentioned? We broke up in March. It was not one of those I-dumped-him breakups, or one of those he-dumped-me breakups. It's a bit hard to explain, but I'll try. The entire time we were "together," it was more like we were friends who just called each other boyfriend and girlfriend. We went to the movies occasionally, we talked on the bus, and that was it. So it wasn't a breakup, so much as a...re-naming of roles, so to speak.
Another major change is that I have changed career paths. And no, it wasn't because of the arguements, although my mom and I do argue less now. I just...sort of realised that an interior designer wasn't exactly going to get a whole lot of work during a recession. So me and my mom had a brainstorm session during spring break when she suggested that maybe there was a career that had to do with the enviornment that I could try. So we searched on the net and...voila! A career choice, and actually one that I'm happier with than interior design! Envionmental engineering.
Another change is that I no longer have my overheating, mega-slow laptop! My mother got a new comp from work, so I got her monitor and my little bro's cpu, while he kept his monitor and got her cpu because it had the internet connection. But then something went wrong with my mom's old cpu, and so now my bro is using my laptop, which keeps from overheating with a fan. Complicated, huh?
Finally, quite a big change is that I am not so much into the Naruto fandom anymore. I still read the manga and watch the anime, but my main interest is the Detective Conan(also known as "Case Closed") and Magic Kaito fandom. Not plural because they are pretty much the same fandom. You see, they're both written and drawn by the same person, Gosho Aoyama, and cross over so much (as in, characters from one appearing in the other) that they can pretty much be counted as occuring in the same "universe," to use fandom speak. Detective Conan being a mystery manga in which the main character is a detective who has been shrunk from 17 to 7 due to a poison gone wrong; Magic Kaito being a manga about a rather elaborate theif(anounces the time, location and target of his theft, then arrives in a bright white tuxedo, top hat, monocle, and cape to steal the target whiletaunting the police) with a secret identity. All in all, both very good reads.
Now on to recent events. First off, my nona has found my lj. Hi Nona!!
Second, I just got home today from a trip with lycaenion to "A Perfectly Normal Event," which is one of the nicest pieces of blatant sarcasm I've heard in a good while. It's sort of a cross between a goth convention, a sci-fi convention, and a renaissance faire, but mostly, as Voltaire(yes the musician that me and lycaenion are huge fans of) put it, "We're all nerds here." Lycaenion and I (since she will kill me if I use improper grammar...grammar nazi. "No grammar for you!" Wait, that's not right...) were both dressed in awesome black dresses. My grandmother made mine. It's velour(I think that's how you spell it) with a foot of tulle(not sure on that one either) at the bottom, which is like really tiny fishnet, and it had a gold-coloured rope belt. Lycaenion's mom made hers, and it was also awesome, as stated above. I bought a really cool necklace, and we got to see a Voltaire concert! WOOHOO!!! It was AWESOME!!! On the downside, it went on until 11, so we got back to the hotel room at 11:15, which means I went to bed at 11:30...so I didn't fall asleep until midnight. Thus, I am tired.
And with that, I bid you adieu. Hopefully my next update will be soon.

...but my only excuse is that I was busy the last couple of days. But here's a summary:
February 5
My hair was a pinkish-red, but more red than pink, so it was okay.
February 6
A good day and a bad day, but mostly good. I finally thought of a short story to write for English class, and I had no rehearsal for once. However, my hair was pink again. Bleh.
February 7:
My hair turned salmon, but my dad bought me some much darker red hair dye with a lot less pink in it. It's a wine color, actually.
Me and a friend of mine who's a senior and is in the musical with me had a very in-depth discussion on "cabbages and kings," so to speak. We debated on why communism failed, on our differing tastes and opinions on books, and most importantly, on elective and college choices and other such things relating to the career I want, Interior Design.
Today
Okay, so we had a half day from school today. I'm going to the Valentine's Dance with my boyfriend later, as well. Yes, I know, wonder of wonders, I have a boyfriend. We've been going out since June. I've never been to a dance before, though. At least, not with a date. There was the eighth grade dance but I didn't have a date and I was hyper on caffeine the whole night so I could keep dancing. It was seriously fun, although my friends gained a newfound fear of me near caffeine (as they well should).
I'm going to dye my bang tips to that darker shade of red later today. It's really time consuming, but at least this time I'll have a book to read while I wait. My mom got these 4 books on interior design for me from the library, and I can't wait to read them.
Me and two of my friends (one of whom is lycaenion) have started a thing between us. We are meercats. For our official greeting/salute thingie, visit lycaenion's LJ. Any way, we have now created a language to use between us, which I have still not gotten down, of squeaks and squeals. All we have so far are vague concepts such as a sound for approval, and how to say such phrases as, "Your mother was a hampster and your father smelt of elderberries." (Kudos to anyone who know where that's from. Now...Fetch me! A SHRUBBERY!! BOHAHAHAHA!!!)
See ya!

You know how I was so hyped up about how I had died the tips of my hair red yesterday? Well, this morning, I went to school and guess what? The tips were no longer red. They had turned pink. I hate pink with a fiery passion. So I had to redye it after I got home from rehearsal. My mom says that the pinkness had something to do with the"porosity" of my hair, whatever that means. So now my hair's even redder than it was yesterday, and I'm hoping it'll stay that way this time. Dyeing your hair, even just the tips of your bangs, really is time-consuming.
On the short story front for English class...I've still got nothing. Nada. Zilch. Nil. ...You get the point.
In my interior design class(which I'm taking because I want to be an interior designer for a career), my teacher was absent today, so we watched an episode of Trading Spaces. I won't go into detail, but let's just say that one of them had the color scheme from 1-131_1_(chartruse(sp?), black and white *shudder*) and looked like the 70's had exploded in the kitchen, and the other was a perfectly good design ruined because they didn't have enough budget money to put a finish on the pine wainscotting(is that how you spell it?) and buy slipcovers for the couches in a color other than white. Not to mention the design error of making the wainscotting too tall for the short ceiling of the room.
See ya!
P.S.-Yes, lycaenion, I did use 1_337 just to tick you off. ^w^

Today, I dyed the tips of my bangs bright red. It looks awesome. Before I washed the liquidy part of the dye out, though, it looked like I had a head wound and the blood had collected at the tips of my bangs 0_o.
I am also kind of upset, because I've now missed 2 weekends of Naruto (4 episodes) due to the fact that I've been at a sleepover for both times. But the sleepovers were fun and I've already seen the episodes in the Japanese sub, so it's all good.
Normal people spread out birdseed on their porch and watch the cute little birds eat. We spread out birdseed and end up watching the Finch mafia gang up on and attack any bird who comes near...except the mourning doves for some reason, I think they have an alliance of something.
The super bowl is on tonight. Joy. (note the sarcasm) My mother has gone out drinking with my aunt to celebrate her birthday, leaving me in a house with two hyped-up, testosterone-overloaded males for the night. So I'm going to read fluffy(an equivalent to unsubstancial romantic mushy stuff for the uninformed) fanfics all night.
Caffeine Addiction Update:
I have had only 1/2 a cup of green tea today, because we have run out. My head is pounding. The rock music blasting out of my radio todrown out the football cheering probably isn't helping, though.

SO we have a creative writing assignment in my English class. We've had it for two days now, and I still got nothin'. Nada. Zippo. Zilch. An infinitetesimal amount. And...I probably just horribly misspelt that word. And the word "misspelt" too, ironically. But I seriously can't think of anything.
I think I may have a slight caffeine addiction. I seriously had such a headache coming out of rehearsal (I'm in the school musical) today...Of course, that may have been because I was exhausted as I had just been dancing for 3 hours straight, but the fact remains that my headache went away after I had my green tea (yeah, I get my caffeine from green tea).
Speaking of the musical, I am...appalled (another spelling massacre), to say the least. In the middle of a song from a classic musical, we are dancing..."Soulja Boy," of all things. I hate "Soulja Boy." I hate almost all rap, actually, except for Linkin Park. But that's more like a rap/rock fusion than anything else, or as my friend lycaenion says, "rack."
Well, goodnight!

Yeah, soo... I finally got around to making an entry. I got this because my friend in real life
My little bro and my mom were fighting (again) in the next room over a short while ago, thus my mood. They were fighting over the same old, same old. She wants him to study for (in the opinion of the saner sort) an insane amount of time and to memorize every. little. detail. See why I don't tell her when I have a test or quiz anymore? My lil brother, on the other hand, wanted to relax and was being whiny little spoiled self over it, and therefore does not have my sympathy. Ugh.
Speaking of grades, I got a couple of mine from midterms and for the second quarter back. All good, except my History grade which is somewhere in the C area which my mom will kill me for (metaphorically speaking, of course). I don't even know how I got it, which is even worse because I'll have to make something up to tell her or else she'll assume I haven't been doing my hw (which I have been) and I'll get punished even worse (or the same punishment for longer, depending on her mood. Don't cha wish people had easy-to-read mood icons in real life?...I use a lot of parenthesis.)
Yeah, so I going to stop now, seeing as my mom just nearly caught me on my laptop past my bedtime. Yeah, I know. I'm 15 and have a 9 o'clock bedtime. You may all point and laugh now. Night!
